The University of Minnesota School of Veterinary Medicine is fortunately only across the State Fairgrounds from my house. The 7 o'clock check-in time is easy and gets me back home before the family is even out of bed. Ruby is her usual charming self and I'm sure that she's in good hands here. It's hard to let her go and not get her back until 4 pm. The phone rings at 3:30 and she's ready. Today was an injection of L-Asparaginase and with that we are giving her daily doses of Prednisolone. She came out of oncology happy and feisty. No side effects, hooray! let's hope this continues.
I'm happy to report that the week went well and the only side effects were some heavy, shallow, and LOUD panting from the prednisolone. She is eating everything she can find and is ravenous for more.
